UMCOR Response to Haiti needs YOU
Our hearts are heavy and our prayers are many as we grieve with our friends, families, coworkers and relational ties in Haiti. Our Conference sends so many teams to Haiti that we are compelled to respond in many ways. The Dakotas Medical Mission Team in Haiti during the earthquake is doing fine, with no injuries and little damage in their village. Bruce Blumer, brother of Sue Togel, and Sarah Baker, spouse of former pastor, Ray Baker, are both with this trip. UMCOR will help us reach out to and through our Methodist connections in Haiti. Your response will help UMCOR gauge its response.
Please give through our church, through the UMCOR website, or to Advance #418325, Haiti Disaster Response.

Mission Store
The mission team is promoting a new theme with regards to the monthly Mission Store. You might not know that the first Sunday of the month is Mission Store Sunday. On this day the youth Sunday School classes use their offering money to purchase supplies for either a health kit or a school kit. The banner committee was gracious enough to create a school bag banner for us. The banner will be displayed outside the classroom being honored for the month.
Congratulations to the Preschool class. They are our Mission Store Stars for the month of October.

NURSERY
For your convenience, there is a staffed nursery on Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. It can be found immediately outside the Sanctuary on the East (church office) side. Please feel free to make use of it during either worship or Sunday school, or both.

Children's Library
We are trying to expand our childrens library and need your help. If you would like to donate any new or gently used Christian books, movies or CD's, please drop them off in the box at the back of the sanctuary. We could also use a bookcase or two to display the library. What a great way to share the Good Nes with a child.
|
Activity Bags
Did you know there are activity bags available at the back of the sanctuary for children to use during the service? The bags that are on hooks at the bottom of the rack ore full bags for the children. Please put the used bags back onto the top hooks after the service. Thank you.

YOU COULD BE THE MISSING LINK!!
Chains are made up of links - even prayer chains
you're the link we've been missing!
Your part of this commitment usually takes about 2 minutes but in return this is what happens:
-
It empowers you to do something for someone in need.
-
It gives comfort to those who need help.
-
It unites us as a church family that cares for its members and others.
Please sign up at the church office.
